09.00-09.10Welcome word from the organisers

Mr. Evgeny Oakes
CTN Centre Group
09.10-10.00 1. ECONOMIC OUTLOOK

The demand for commercial vehicles is strongly proportional to the strength of the economy - which is fragile in Europe and Turkey. Commercial vehicle makers have suffered accordingly with heavy sales down over 30% since the 2007 and 2008 levels.

The speaker will provide an overview of the global macro-economic trends that will impact the commercial transportation industry, and provide insights into the current business environment, and the short and long term prospects for EU and Turkey's economy. Get an answer to how factors such as supply chain distribution trends, environmental and energy policies and technological advancements affect Turkey's infrastructure funding and viability?
10.00-11.00 2. FLEET MANAGEMENT

Every fleet management company wants to preserve the lifetime value of vehicle assets, alongside ensuring that they are looked after so that they remain reliable and are available when needed. Every fleet business carries inherent risks within it and the way these risks are managed and minimised is critical. The panel will offer success strategies in:
  • Vehicle licensing
  • Revisiting the basics of vehicle selection.
  • Performance management for efficient road transport operations.
  • Vehicle leasing & finance.
  • Accident or incident management.
  • Gaining competitive advantages.
11.00-11.30 Coffee-break, networking

Fleet based assets are a massive cost for all organisations. If you can improve efficiency, increased productivity will follow. The panel will offer various solutions to enable you to get the best return on your fleet asset investment. Learn how to:
  • Maintain and preserve the lifetime value of fleet assets.
  • Ensure your vehicle reliability.
  • Minimise risks within the business.
  • Improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Reduce costs.
  • Manage your adherence to all compliance and regulatory issues.
12.30-13.30 Lunch, networking

Transport and mobility are a prerequisite for economic prosperity and social activity, but also pose significant challenges for sustainability. Historically, automotive R&D has been devoted to vehicle technology as such. Today, R&D in all important areas such as safety, energy and the environment includes the interaction between a vehicle, its driver and the surroundings.

In the decades to come, automotive research will most likley focus on areas like managing transport growth, improving road safety and focusing on the environmental impact of increased mobility needs. The panelists will offer their views on R&D and discuss innovations as well as on finding intelligent, affordable and world-leading mobility solutions.
14.30-15.00 Coffee-break, networking

Trucks and buses are economic goods. Fuel efficiency is a key element in the purchase decision, as fuel represents 30% of the running costs - almost as much as the cost of employing drivers. The next advancements in fuel economy will come from integrating drivetrains and trailers to drive efficiencies. This panel of engine OEM, trailer OEM and fleet executives will explore what the future holds in terms of equipment and technologies that can drive improvements.
  • CO2 policy for heavy duty vehicles on the horizon
  • Green and fuel technologies for better efficiency.
16.00-16.30 Coffee-break, networking

Representatives from the supplier, safety and fleet communities will discuss the role safety technology will play in compliance, productivity and profitability over the next decade
  • Setting up a safety policy for transport operations.
  • Choosing the right equipment and systems.
  • Ensuring safe and secure trailer operations.
  • Regulations and customer demands
